New York, NY (August 21, 2015) — Today, lawyers for Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, and their non-profit organization, American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), filed their opening brief in their appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, appealing a federal district court's ruling that "dissolved" the court's earlier order requiring the New York City's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to run Geller's "Hamas Killing Jews" advertisement displayed below. Judge Allows CAIR to Get Away with Fraud; Opening Brief Filed in Appeal

(August 17, 2015) — Judge Paul Friedman, the federal judge presiding over a five-year old lawsuit alleging that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) defrauded dozens of Muslim and non-Muslim clients, issued a shocking ruling when he summarily dismissed the lawsuit, which was brought in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Late last week, the American Freedom Law Center and the Law Offices of David Yerushalmi filed the opening brief in the appeal asking the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to reverse Judge Friedman and reinstate the plaintiffs' claims against CAIR. MBTA's Rejection of Anti-Jihad Ads Heads to Supreme Court

(July 28, 2015) — Yesterday, David Yerushalmi and his law partner, Robert Muise, filed a petition in the U.S. Supreme Court, asking the high court to review a sharply-divided decision of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, which upheld the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's (MBTA) refusal to display on its buses two pro-Israel/anti-jihad advertisements, which the MBTA claimed were demeaning to Muslims. The ads were submitted by Mr. Yerushalmi's clients, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), Pamela Geller, and Robert Spencer. Federal Court: MTA Violated Pamela Geller's First Amendment Rights and Must Pay as a Result

New York, NY (July 20, 2015) — On Thursday of last week, the federal court hearing the case against the New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) for illegally refusing to display an anti-jihad advertisement granted the plaintiffs, Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, and their non-profit organization, American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), partial summary judgment and ordered the MTA to pay nominal damages.  The court’s finding of liability and award of damages also opens the door for Geller and her co-plaintiffs to recover their legal fees and costs from the City’s transit authority.  The controversial anti-jihad ad, referred to in the case as the “Hamas Killing Jews” advertisement, is displayed below. ... read more ››
Wealthy Kings Point Sassouni Family Sued for Fraud

            Kings Point, New York (July 13, 2015) — Last Wednesday, the Law Offices of David Yerushalmi, P.C., filed a lawsuit on behalf of Greek-American businessman, Photios Cougentakis, alleging that Sayeh Sassouni, who lives at 34 Hemlock Drive in Kings Point, conspired with her father and mother, Nejatollah and Susan Sassouni, also Kings Point residents, to fraudulently convey her home to avoid foreclosure.  The lawsuit, entitled Photios Cougentakis v.
