New York, NY (August 21, 2015) — Today, lawyers for Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, and their non-profit organization, American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), filed their opening brief in their appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, appealing a federal district court's ruling that "dissolved" the court's earlier order requiring the New York City's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to run Geller's "Hamas Killing Jews" advertisement displayed below. Late last week, the American Freedom Law Center and the Law Offices of David Yerushalmi filed the opening brief in the appeal asking the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to reverse Judge Friedman and reinstate the plaintiffs' claims against CAIR. - AFDI Petition

Washington, D.C. (July 28, 2015) — Yesterday, David Yerushalmi and his law partner, Robert Muise, filed a petition in the U.S. Supreme Court, asking the high court to review a sharply-divided decision of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, which upheld the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's (MBTA) refusal to display on its buses two pro-Israel/anti-jihad advertisements, which the MBTA claimed were demeaning to Muslims. The ads were submitted by Mr. Yerushalmi's clients, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), Pamela Geller, and Robert Spencer. This past April, a divided panel of the First Circuit affirmed the MBTA's censorship of the ads, holding that the advertising space was not a public forum; therefore, the heightened level of scrutin ... read more ››
